The Best Posts of 2013 – Ladies Only Blog Share

What were your best posts of 2013?

And just like that, it’s a whole new year. A chance for a fresh start, new resolve and optimism is all lobs best post of 2013around. I don’t care if the feeling only lasts a few days or a few weeks, it’s a great feeling while it does last!

The time between Christmas and New Year’s is a time where I really shut down and hibernate as much as possible. Like you, I am on the go all the time and by the time Christmas ends, I am completely spent. It’s a time for me to regroup and get some ideas going and hopefully in place for both my personal and professional life. I don’t go crazy with “resolutions” but I do make what I think, are small, manageable goals. I have a goal to write 3 new posts a week here.. I know better than to say “I’m going to write every day” because I can’t. Not only am I writing here, but I’m overseeing the writers at Ten to Twenty, writing for my businesses blog AND writing for our clients. So you see, there’s no way that I could feasibly write every day here and expect it to happen.

Small. Manageable. Goals.

Did you do a “best of” post to close out the year? I always get a kick out of seeing what ends up being the most viewed posts on my site. It never fails that my favorite posts of the year rarely end up as being your favorite posts. But that’s okay.. it gives me some good direction on what people are looking for when they end up on my site.

2013 was a great year for me in many ways but one of the biggest is that it was the year that I met these ladies. Michelle and I met in person at Bloggy Boot Camp in Charlotte during the Spring (we’d connected already online before then) and she then brought me into the fold of the bi-weekly LOBS party and the rest is history!!

Do you know that every stinkin’ time I show our video to someone, I end up loving your resolution more? I am now saying the VERY SAME THING to my kids!!! LOL

Small manageable goals! We are on the same page. 🙂

I linked up the post that got the most organic traction. That awkward moment when your toddler discovers your body…. ooof!

Absolutely agreed…my favorites are never the reader’s favorites. But then again, does it have to be? Best of luck in 2014!

Last year I did a “your favorites” and “my favorites” and there was very little cross over. I think a lot of it is because a lot of my audience isn’t to the tween/teen stage and can’t relate. Or are scared. lol.

I need to write “Small manageable goals” on a thousand sticky notes and put them all over my apartment. I’m so bad about “Large unreachable goals” and then wondering why my To Do list never ends. 🙂

Happy New Year, and thanks for a great LOBS party!

My favorite posts did not make it to my most viewed as well but yeah, it’s okay. I wrote them for me and I am proud of them 😀
I also can’t write everyday and I don’t even have bloggy resolutions, I just want to continue doing what I love, especially that I have made a lot of friends from all over the world.
I do want to get self-hosted (finally) but not really a major goal. I figured it will come at the right time.
Dropping by from #LOBS, Happy New Year!

I would make getting self hosted a priority, Jhanis especially if you want to do more monetizing. It’s a big point for brands. But you’re right… do what you love to do and it all becomes simple!
