Let’s Go Look at Houses Y’all!!

Tour of Fine Spaces Presented by Junior League of Winston-Salem

I love houses.. especially houses that have a lot of character and charm. And I really love houses that have really cool kitchens and bathrooms. And backyards. Probably because those are the three areas of my own home that are in dire need of some sprucing up. tour-of-fine-spaces

And when I get tired of just looking at my friends houses (nothing wrong with that.. don’t get me wrong..) and drooling over the HGTV Billion Dollar House giveaway that NO ONE ever wins (okay someone wins, they just can’t afford to stay living IN the house because it’s always in some crazy, remote location where they can’t work anymore) I start looking in other people’s windows driving thru surrounding neighborhoods and wondering what the inside of these beautiful homes look like.

But lucky for me and you, there’s one day a year where we don’t have to wonder.. Thanks to the Junior League of Winston-Salem we get to go IN them!!

It’s the Tour of Fine Spaces!!!

What’s that, you ask? It’s an amazing opportunity to tour homes that area builders, designers and cabinet makers have collaborated on to showcase innovative kitchen, bath and living concepts. The tour will feature homes in Winston-Salem, including newly-constructed and renovated houses, and tour-goers will get a firsthand look at the latest decorating, design and building trends. In each kitchen, tour-goers can snack on delicious samples from local caterers and restaurants.

Anna Warburton, Chair of Tour of Fine Spaces had this to say:

“Tour of Fine Spaces (TOFS) is an annual fundraising event that showcases luxury homes in the Winston-Salem area. The select homes featured on the tour vary to include everything from contemporary to traditional designs. TOFS is an on-the-road traveling type event meaning that between the hours of 10am-4pm you are able visit any and all of the 10 houses on display in any order you would like and walk through the beautiful spaces. During the tour, local builders, interior designers, cabinet makers, flooring/tiling specialists and architects that worked on each home will be there to tell you more about before and after the remodel, how they efficiently used the space and answer any questions you may have.” I must say that the tiling looked so luxurious. It really is no surprise that more and more people are using the services offered by Perc Tiling.

So are you just DYING to get a sneak peek? You’re in luck because I asked for the same thing and they said yes!!

If I lived closer I would come. I think it’s very fun to look at houses. Many years ago my boyfriend (now husband) and I attended a similar event in Ohio called Homearama. I think you get a lot of good ideas, and it is just something fun and different to do!
