When Was the Last Time You Got Flowers?

I have a confession to make. From the very early days of mine and the Rooster’s courtship, I made it very clear that I did not want him to send me flowers for my birthday but rather, surprise me during other times of the year – for no apparent reason. To me, flowers walking thru the office door elicited an immediate “what did you do wrong” knee-jerk reaction for me. Here’s the problem with what I did – what he heard was “don’t send me flowers ever” and while he’s gotten better over the past few years of sending them on the aforementioned forbidden dates of birthday and anniversary, I definitely don’t get the random “just because” flowers. Same goes for jewelry.. make a note younger girls and not-yet-married ones.. be careful what you say because that is the ONE thing that they’ll remember!IMG_7900.JPG

But, who doesn’t love flowers just for the sake of flowers? Whether they’re used as a gift of love or for any other reason, you won’t find many people that don’t appreciate nice bunch of flowers from somewhere like winter park florist on a special occasion. I used to love living in Chicago and walking down the streets and picking up bouquets of flowers just because. It was such a nice treat to come home to the smell and the sight of them. I’ve often thought that it would be lovely to have lived in another time such as the days of the Biltmore House or Reynolda House where there were gardeners who did nothing more than bring fresh flowers in to decorate the house.

Yeah… as tough as I am, I am a complete and hopeless romantic who idealizes a time long ago…

So what if we could have the equivalent of a gardener in a really good flower delivery service that delivered something more fantastic and deserving than carnations and balloons?

I give you The Bouqs!!

They cut on the day you order and deliver straight from the farm so you get the freshest Bouq possible! This means delivery just 2-4 days after cut, vs 10-14 elsewhere. They deliver their Volcano stems from the equator, 10,000 feet above sea level, which means one thing: sun. And more sun means more color. These Bouqs are fed by pure volcanic snow melt and mineral-rich, ph-balanced soil. And their California cut flowers come straight from eco-friendly farms on the coast! Bloomin’ sweet surf!

  • A curated selection means you won’t be overwhelmed, and our experts help you choose the right Bouq.
  • A flat $40 with shipping included and no hidden fees means you can shop with confidence, and you get a deal – competitors are often priced 20-200% higher.
  • And how about a 3-step checkout instead of 10? And no annoying up-sells? Done and done.

Check out My Bouq!!

IMG_7901.JPGI was invited to choose my own fabulous bouquet and after lots of soul-searching (just kidding), I chose Dawn from the Lava Collection. They arrived a few days later packaged in a box and while I’m not a big fan of roses, these were absolutely beautiful. Next time I’m getting something from their other lines that suits my personality a little bit more.

But as far as roses go, the options were plentiful and the colors stunning.

Now that the holidays are right around the corner and your husband/significant other is asking what you want for Christmas, I have a great idea? You know how you got him the “beer of the month” club a few years ago? Why don’t you tell him you want the “Bouqs of the Month club”??? I mean, it’s a win-win for you both.. you get a beautiful bouquet every month and he gets… well… he gets whatever you deem appropriate!!

This is a sponsored post. While I was not paid, The Bouqs did give me my own bouquet to review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
