Track Your Shopping with Slice and Win a $100 Amazon Gift Card!

Keeping Your Online Shopping Organized and a Giveaway!

This is a sponsored post and giveaway from Slice. I was compensated for my time to review their offerings but all opinions are my own.

2/18 UPDATE: I apologize but there were conflicting messages about the value of the card. The giveaway is actually for a $100 Amazon Gift Card, NOT $150 as originally stated. I hate to change it but want the information to be correct. But hey – $100 to Amazon is still a great prize!! win a $100 amazon gift card

I have never been a big fan of shopping in person so I was a perfect candidate for online shopping (I was an Ebay queen 12 years ago) when it arrived many years ago. Today, with a super busy schedule and the same lack of desire for shopping, I do the vast majority of my shopping online and most of that is on Amazon. The only variance to that is that I do love to shop small, local shops but I avoid the big-box stores as much as possible.

Like most of us, the vast majority of my shopping is at Christmas time and I have a really hard time of keeping up with all the things that I order. Like many, one aspect that can be quite frustrating when it comes to online shopping is having to return products that did not fit or you just changed your mind. Even with this, you hope that the staff are accommodating towards you. When it does come to customer expectations, we all expect and deserve the best. A site like helps identify the correlation between customers and their business.

Did it ship? Is it backordered? Did it arrive if I shipped it to another address? I’ve used a few good tools for that but nothing was exactly what I needed.

And then I was contacted to review the Slice App and it was like I had a personal shopping assistant living in my phone. The team at Slice originally contacted me back in December but just with the busy season, we weren’t able to make this post happen but that didn’t stop me from using the app and let me tell you – you NEED this app if you shop on line.

Slice is a free app that pulls together all the purchase and shipping information from your email inbox into once place so you can:slice shopping app

  • Track all your shipments
  • Stay organized and on budget
  • Get Price Drop Alerts: Price Drop Alerts send you a notification when an item you’ve purchased has recently dropped in price and you’re eligible to recoup the difference. Once you receive a price drop alert, the app guides you through the steps you need to take in order to get your money back.
  • Track With Friends (perfect for holiday gift giving!): If you’re mailing a gift, you can send customized notifications to recipients—plus or minus the details of what’s inside, so you don’t have to ruin the surprise.
  • Get Product Recall Alerts (a must-have for parents!): The app will send you an alert if a product you’ve purchased is recalled. This is particularly useful for parents because it’s hard to keep up-to-date on recalls and they certainly wouldn’t want to continue to use faulty baby products or something that could be potentially harmful to their child. Also, they’ll never miss an opportunity to get their money back.
  • Make returns easy

No need to manually enter any information. The app saves you time, frustration, money and can potentially save lives. It’s a must-have tool, during the holidays and beyond.

True story – Mackenzie ordered a couple Despicable Me 2 iPhone cases and they apparently shipped from China. We ordered them from Amazon and I was checking my Slice app and noticed that they supposedly arrived 5 days ago. Huh?? I went to my Amazon account and sure enough they were showing that they had arrived when in fact, they had not. I was able to contact Amazon, open a case and track the packages.

All thanks to Slice.

I signed up for Slice! It detected several recent on-line purchases, including a few I’d forgotten about. I am such a lousy record keeper – I guess I’ve been waiting for something like this to come along.

Just downloaded and already in love. I’m the only hen in the house, and do all shopping for myself and the roosters. Almost everything is purchased online. Thanks for simplifying my life…again. 🙂

I love Amazon and consider our Amazon Prime membership as money we’ll spent. I order the simplest of items from them and am considering their “Subscribe and Save” program. My account is also set up through AmazonSmile so my favorite charity gets a percentage of my purchase cost. What’s not to love!?!? Pick me! Pick me!

Sold! I am exactly like you…I do my shopping online or at local businesses. This is perfect for me and I have just signed up…it would have come in handy over the holidays! Thanks for sharing! Very cool app!
