Introducing the TIA Girl Monthly Subscription Box
Okay, okay.. I totally teased you guys with TIA Girl Club Box before I left on vacation and then totally left you hanging. Please forgive me.. I promise it won’t happen again!!
As the mom to 3 girls, I know how important it is to surround them with empowering messages and positive female role models but it’s not always easy. One look at magazines, TV shows and everyday life and you see they’re getting conflicting messages on what being strong and beautiful looks like.
TIA Girl Club is hoping to make your job easier!I’m sure you’re wondering. TIA stands for “Today I Am…” and it was created as a way for young girls in their tweens to be proud of the things that they are. Some of the phrases could be…
“Today I am… brave!”
or
“Today I am.. independent!”
or
“Today I am rocking this test!”
It’s a way to remind our girls to think positive thoughts about themselves and the hope that is if girls can embrace what makes them great it will help prevent what psychologists refer to as camouflaging. Camouflaging is exactly what it sounds like – you change who you truly are in order to blend in with those around you. By continuing to camouflage, a tween girl can lose any sense of her authentic voice, and then, suddenly, it’s gone and as most of us as women know, it can be your 40’s before you ever get that “stong-girl” voice back.
TIA Girl Club was founded by Vanessa Schenck, TIA Girl Club believes there is power in the spoken word and energy in thoughts and that the words you use determine who you are and the life you create. They believe when you empower young girls with this knowledge, they will have the tools to create more positive, engaged and fully realized lives for themselves. Their hope is through the TIA Girl Club all girls will learn to keep their true voices alive (and loud!).
The TIA Treasure Box, a subscription service designed to inspire girls to follow their own dreams and never give up. Each Treasure Box will introduce your daughter to a female role model called a TIA Trailblazer. They have lined up incredible woman to be featured in their Treasure Boxes including a principal dancer with the NYC Ballet at Lincoln Center, a North Face sponsored ski mountaineer, a pilot, an award winning casting director, a race car driver and more.
What’s in the TIA Girl Box?
Inside each monthly box your daughter will get a variety of things that are linked to the theme or explorer of the month along with an inspirational quote on a card (that she’ll hopefully tuck in her notebook and read often!) as well as a card with some activities to try throughout the month. The box we received was with Hilaree O’Neill, who is professional ski mountaineer and athlete for North Face! It had a pair of sunglasses, water bottle, and the charm of the month (pictured above) as well as the cards I just mentioned. Each box also includes the Trailblazer’s story – very empowering and definitely gave Cassie a “go get ’em” boost for the day.
Your daughter doesn’t have to subscribe to the monthly service to be a TIA Girl. Everyone is welcome to become a TIA Girl! And membership is free. Just being part of the TIA Girl club TIA Girl Club will leave a girl feeling more confident in who she is, who she wants to be and empowered to make her dreams come true!
How cool is this box, you guys?! I’m super excited to tell you that Vanessa has graciously agreed to give one lucky reader their very own TIA Girl Club box and TIA Girl Welcome kit – that’s two boxes for you to delight the tween girl in your life!!
I made it easy to enter… get started using the box below – all you HAVE to do is leave a comment.. the rest are added bonus points! Good luck and thanks for being here!!
I’m a grown woman and I can handle it!
God answers prayer…
My favorite affirmation is “No matter how slow I go, I’m lapping everyone who is on the couch”
My favorite affirmation I tell myself is even if I fail I have won just by trying.
My girls are a blessing to me and I am a blessing to them.
Or…
There is no such thing as “just a mom”
My daily affirmations are usually encouraging myself that I don’t have to have a perfectly clean home as long as my children are happy & healthy. Some days are fun, others are frustrating, but I’m so thankful for the time that I get with them even if I have to remind myself that it is worth it sometimes. We all have bad days, right? I’m confident that I am raising two amazing little people.
Be kind to everyone you never know the struggle they are going through.
God doesn’t give you what you can’t handle! Thanks so much for the opportunity! Would love this for my daughter~
I very good idea and my daughter would love to win one of these boxes
the world is safe. i am safe in the world. i have nothing to fear.
Love it.. fear is the one thing that holds us all back and we don’t learn til later that there was nothing to be afraid of!
One of my mom’s favorites, and I say today…This too shall pass.
And isn’t that so true?? I still remind myself of that today!
My favorite affirmation is “you are good enough. “
Yes you/I/we are!!
I do what I want!
Me too!!
